Terms and dietary safety

KaleMap helps you investigate menus. It does not certify kitchens or guarantee that a dish is safe for you.
Always confirm before ordering
Dietary classifications come from published menu information, software and community contributions. Menus, recipes, ingredients and substitutions change. A menu cannot reveal every ingredient, shared fryer, utensil, preparation surface or cross-contact risk. If you have an allergy, coeliac disease, a medical need or another strict requirement, tell the restaurant and confirm directly with the kitchen before ordering or eating. Do not use KaleMap instead of professional medical advice or emergency services.
What labels mean
“Yes” means the available description supports the classification. “Possible” means a routine change may make the dish fit. “Unknown” means there is not enough evidence. AI readings and member reports are different sources, and neither is an allergen-free guarantee. Restaurant hours, prices, availability and other facts can also be incomplete or outdated.
Accounts, plans and cancellation
Keep your sign-in links and account access secure. Use accurate account information and only a payment method you are entitled to use. The current plan page and checkout show the price, billing period and allowance before purchase. A recurring subscription renews unless cancelled through your account's billing controls. Review the cancellation confirmation for when access ends. Deleting the app or clearing cookies does not cancel billing. Account deletion is a separate action and attempts to cancel an active subscription immediately.
Restaurant access and analysis are subject to the allowance shown in the product. A subscription does not promise that every restaurant has a readable menu or suitable dishes. Nothing here removes statutory cancellation, refund or other mandatory consumer rights. Information or remedies required by applicable law take precedence over inconsistent wording on this site.
Contributions and acceptable use
Contribute accurate information and honest experience. Do not post unlawful, defamatory, abusive, misleading or private material, impersonate others, manipulate ratings, or attempt to bypass authentication, security or usage limits. You retain rights you hold in your contributions. You grant KaleMap a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, display and process them as needed to operate the service, including using service providers for hosting, moderation and menu analysis. This is not a sale of your content or a general licence for other users to exploit it. Public contributions may nevertheless be seen and copied by others.
Photos you upload
Upload only photos you took or are authorised to share. They must show the menu or food, not identifiable people or private information. Menu and food photos can be published on the restaurant listing with your display name. Menu photos may be read by automated tools to create shared dish information; a reading is only as complete as the photo. You can remove your photos using the service's controls, and KaleMap can remove content that breaches these rules or applicable law. Removal cannot recall copies someone already downloaded. Service limits and your rights
KaleMap is an information service, not the restaurant selling or preparing your meal. Restaurants and external services are responsible for their own offerings. We work to maintain the service but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free information. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuse fraud, or limit your mandatory consumer rights. These terms do not require arbitration or deprive you of courts or remedies available under applicable law.
